Lab Equipment

We conduct cybersecurity training in a specialized physical facility. As a lab member, you have access to our state-of-the-art equipment.

We strive to acquire and upgrade high-quality equipment that allows the lab members to perform experimental research and educational activities. Our students are welcome to use our facilities for their projects, theses, and learning.

The training facility has been used during several national and international events, including the Cyber Czech exercise. The room contains six large tables, each with three seats and three all-in-one PCs. The tables are portable, allowing the instructor to rearrange the room for various activities, including team assignments, student presentations, and group discussions. There is also a projector, a large display wall, and two portable TVs. Look at the virtual 3D tour here.

KYPO4INDUSTRY testbed

We operate a cyber-physical testbed called KYPO4INDUSTRY, which serves for cybersecurity research and education. It allows us to emulate industrial control systems within critical infrastructures, such as the production and distribution of electricity, gas, and water; transportation; and telecommunication. The testbed is built using open-source hardware and software and provides reconfigurable modules of a wide range of industrial control systems. You can read more about it in our paper: KYPO4INDUSTRY: A Testbed for Teaching Cybersecurity of Industrial Control Systems.
